To EFC. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. CJ. " Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} " Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} " Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X.4383 E5/G6.4.21. X.4383. X.4359. RE "GOSHAWK II" ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT. X.4342. In our memo R9/G6.4.21 we ask you to find out the possibilities of adapting other makers starter motors, namely, the C.A.V, Lucas, etc. to the "Goshawk II" engine. In this way it is expected that we can have an electrical equipment ready for the "Goshawk II" chassis which can be tested out against any machines we may make ourselves. Would you kindly note that Mr. Royce would like the dynamo similarly tested, and the particulars of the front end as given on the rca LeCo. design sent through some time ago should be forwarded to the Rotax with suitable enquiry.
