May regarding the above Covers, and are very pleased to note that you consider these are now a definite improvement over our previous efforts. We quite agree with your remarks that the Covers are not perfectly sealed, and we know you will appreciate the very small amount of room that is available for making a more perfect connection, and we are afraid we cannot make the retaining grooves any larger, but we do suggest slightly increasing the size of the ridge at each end of the bellows in order to make it a tighter fit in the grooves. Undoubtedly the best suggestion for making a waterproof joining is for the complete set to be solutioned together, and we are therefore enclosing with the samples, which we hope to send on Monday, a small tin of this material. As mentioned previously we have only altered two of the moulds, and we propose sending you a few sets of these which are exactly as samples you now have, and await the result of your chassis tests before proceeding.
