CHASSIS WIRING
X6040

With reference to NS{Norman Scott}/MR.4.32 on the above, we had no intention of recommending any change from our colour scheme which we can obtain with no appreciable extra cost with Sistoflex covered cables.

The condition of the standard cotton braided wires when removed from the conduits on repair chassis is very poor, the vulcanised rubber having perished and the cotton braiding rotted. It has occurred to us that it might be possible for water to lodge in these conduits which would otherwise drain away on an exposed sistoflex cleated system.

We are arranging to send you, for your inspection, a sample of the standard cables removed from a repair chassis.

Our suggested scheme would look better than the Alpha Romeo because we still think the dashboard aluminium conduit system as present standard on 20/25 and 40/50 to be a neat scheme as it conceals the wiring at the place where it is easily seen and more likely to get damaged. We are anxious to retain this feature.
