Dear Commander Bristow, X2375 Referring to the Watford Magneto I had arranged to send this to Derby, but I have now altered the instructions for it to be sent to you. I am very pleased to hear that it has run so long with apparently little distress. It is very reasonable to suppose that the alterations will make a tremendous improvement in the life of the contact maker and platinum points. X.3173. Regarding the battery ignition this has had to be delayed owing to pressure of other work, and we find there are many deficiencies in the present standard systems which have to be corrected before they could be applied very successfully, amongst them being the terminals and arrangements of the high tension wires.
