Oil getting on to the Clutch Surfaces. ------------------------------------------- We still have occasional failures of the clutch, due to slipping, which appears to be due to oil from the centre universal joint getting on to the friction surfaces. Could some consideration be given to make sure that any excess of oil from this joint is directed so as to prevent it getting on to these friction surfaces? The groove behind the friction plate attached to the flywheel might be made deeper to advantage and more drain holes fixed, which holes could go to the bottom of the groove. In spite of the present drain holes on the flywheel, oil still collects in this groove. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} | ||
