To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GB. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/ET. 1249 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/ET.1/8.4.41. Please note that the application for petrol recently made by J.R. Jones (Reg. No. JK.4154) should be cancelled, as this man has since died. We should like, however, to have this car registration book to return to whoever may be entitled to it. I have had an enquiry from Joseph Yates (Reg. No. AET.217), who informs me that he had received 2 extra gallons last month, bringing his allowance to 12 gallons. He has only received coupons for 10 gallons this month and tells me he cannot manage on less than 12 gallons. You will also find an application from a new candidate J.W. Thornhill (Reg. No. DNN.910). Although he has been working here for some time, I believe the transport is very bad between his home and Belper, and that his application is justified. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/ET. | ||
