Hols Rhy /SOD PD.155 herewith gives the leading dimensions of the B.50 bonnet and gives the shape of the bonnet at the two datum planes, which are respectively 3.200" in front of the front wheels and 5.500" behind the back of dash - the same as on B.111, though the shapes at these planes are different from the B.111. The dimensions on this layout in certain places modify dimensions given on PD.112, and also slightly modify a note on PD.147 relating to bonnet shape. This scheme completes the instructions for the B.50 bonnet with semi-permanent side plates. As on the Rover, from which obviously many details of this bonnet are copied, the bonnet top can only be gripped for opening by friction or by the moulding where this is fitted.
