S.S. MATERIAL.
----------

I wish to confirm my verbal instructions over the telephone that the rims for the wire wheels on both the 20 HP. and 40/50 HP. chassis, are to be held up pending a decision from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has found that there is a distinct advantage in keeping the larger wheels viz. wheels having 21" rims for the 40/50 HP., and 20" rims for the 20 HP.

The strip material can of course be obtained, but the spokes and the rim formation should be held up.

In addition to the foregoing the sheet metal cross [handwritten insertion: likely] [strikethrough: in the frame appears] [handwritten insertion: to be] cancelled in favour of our old type of tubular cross member.

Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} agrees that the above items should be held up pending Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s visit to R.{Sir Henry Royce} which is being made to decide these points.
