Smith}, which R.{Sir Henry Royce} hopes to have in the south of France, will have a 4-seater saloon cabriolet body of rather slim appearance. With a view to getting the car as low as possible R.{Sir Henry Royce} has agreed to use 20" rims with 6.75" tyres, in the place of the present 21" rims with 6.75" tyres, for this car only. The frame height will then be 21" above the ground when the chassis is under full load, against the present Phantom's 22.5". If we find our improved gxx ground clearances on 'SS{S. Smith}' make these smaller wheels possible for French conditions such as occur around Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence, it is suggested that we might be able to use these wheels as standard, and the larger ones only for Colonial conditions.
