Diagrams E, F, G and H show the
performance of the shock absorber under the loads which
we consider necessary. E and F again emphasise that the
pressure in the shock absorber working chamber does not
fall to atmosphere at the conclusion of each stroke, and
we should imagine calls for an increase in venting capacity.

Diagrams G and H were taken with a view to
seeing if with thinner oil the venting capacity became
adequate. Apparently it does so on the low pressure side
but not on the high pressure side. At the same time the
leak past the rotor increases to such an extent that the
effectiveness of the shock absorber is definitely impaired.

We have not taken any short stroke diagrams
on this shock absorber.

We shall be glad to discuss these results
with your representative if you care to make an appointment.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
