Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from F.V. R.R. 235a (100 TJ S.H. 798 10-12-20) CP.2949 X4263 BY6/P15.8.21. X.987.. GOSHAWK 11. X.4263 FRONT AXLE, REAR HUB & BRAKE. X.4257. I would like to remind you of my conversation with you before the holidays, in which I pointed out that if a straight sided tyre is to be used on the Goshawk, the nearest inch sizes to the millimeter figure specified by R.{Sir Henry Royce} originally, are the standard 32 X 4½" which you will remember I remarked appeared to me to be a rather clumsy tyre for the chassis in question. I would like to know whether you have given this matter any further consideration, and whether R.{Sir Henry Royce} has had the matter brought to his attention or not, as I certainly feel that it is a matter that we should get his views upon, if it is now definitely decided that we must use a straight sided tyre and wheel suitable for same, of the Michelin design, for Goshawk 11.
