'jaggering' issue when braking, comparing torque tube and parallel axle control systems, and suggesting a driving technique to mitigate it.

X.1228. The trouble is apparently due also to the torque tube type of axle control and it was largely for this reason that the parallel control on the Northcliffe chassis was decided upon for trial. Unfortunately the parallel control does not make usch a practical and generally desirable job as the enclosed torque tube.

As this "jaggering" only occurs when brakes are vigourously applied on a pot-holey road, it might be useful for Mr. de Salamanca to know the difficulty can be largely overcome by releasing the clutch at the same time as applying the brake or when "jaggers" occur.
