Dear Mr.Sidgreaves,

I am in receipt of your letter for which I thank you. I must admit that I was extremely disappointed to hear that you do not intend to help me in any shape or form and in reply I can only thank you once again for the wonderful assistance you afforded me last year, and it is my regret that I was unable to better my time for the run by 17 seconds.

Kind regards,

Yours sincerely,

Sgd. (E.R.Hall.)
