Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} PRODUCTION WRAITH - 100 SETS. (Handwritten note: 600?) Further to our memo BY.10/G.21.2.38, it has been decided to build the next 12 chassis to the same specification as for the 100 therefore our memo BY.1/N.19.2.38 should be cancelled. In paragraph 3 of BY.10/G.21.2.38, we referred to the cam wheel being hardened. This is an error, a fabric gear is being used for the cam wheel, but the other gears should be hardened and ground. In regard to the fan, this should be instructed to the present design for 12 sets only. A scheme is being issued for a modification to the Petrol Tank filler to prevent petrol splashing out, and this should be instructed for the 100 sets. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
