To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gy. c.c. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c.c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c.c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X3806 CHOICE OF OILS FOR BIJUR SYSTEM. ------------------- In view of KL/M25.4.29., now we can use two oils, one for winter and one for summer. we can recommend the oils we already use in our gearbox and engine. For summer use we can recommend Amber 'A', and for winter, Prices Motorine C, and Wakefields Castrol 'XL'. These oils have been shown to be xxxxxxxx perfectly satisfactory on our lubrication system under these conditions. The use of a straight mineral oil would involve recommending grades of oil we do not use. We think in view of our experience, and the great advantage of recommending engine and gearbox oils, this should not be necessary. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/F.Gaye. | ||
