THE ZENITH CARBURETTER CO. Limited. Sheet No. -2- Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., 18th June, 1938. Upon re-consideration of the drawings, we find that in certain cases it might be possible that a little extra load is put upon the bearing, and we therefore shall revise the limits when you pass us your instructions to provide the thicker strangler flap, as we think it is your intention of so doing. In the meantime we are asking our Works to pay particular attention to this point, and we shall take steps to see that the assemblies of the strangler spindle, the bush and the bearings are such, that undue load is not put upon the bearing. We should like to express our thanks for the very clear manner in which you have differentiated the various modifications which might be called for in respect of the 25/30 H.P. carburetter, and for your assistance in this direction, we are much obliged. We also note that the throttle screws of all carburetters shall be locked by means of a blob of solder. Yours faithfully, THE ZENITH CARBURETTER CO. LTD. AEP/LT. | ||
