BENTLEY PUBLICITY.

13.1.41.

With reference to your Memo. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}9/KV.

Unfortunately, when Lp.{Mr Lappin} brought Pomeroy up from London, the road conditions were such that it was not safe to indulge in maximum speed to any great extent.

We have therefore had to postpone the high speed test. There is no question about the result however, since Lp.{Mr Lappin} did a preliminary run and tells me that he got 98 m.p.h. on the speedometer.

We are bringing the trials to car up to this standard, and shall probably use this for Pomeroy's trial.

Incidentally, while Pomeroy was up here we gave him a lot of information on the Bentley V.{VIENNA}, which he is proposing to incorporate in future articles.
