1269 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.4/AP. 30th September 1937 Messrs Lockwood & Co.(Plasco) Ltd., 8 Dock Street, LEEDS.10 Dear Sirs, We are interested in trying out your Plasco metal for our water pump glands and attach herewith a schematic drawing of one of the glands in question. We should like to know whether you consider that your packing would be suitable for this purpose - whether you could let us have metallic packings to replace the asbestos shown in the scheme, and what spring loading in the glands would be considered necessary. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
