X7650 AJS. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} BY/ED.{J. L. Edwards} c. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY16/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 29.12.25. SEQUENCE STARTER. -------------- In order to make the position in regard to the above quite clear, and therefore prevent misunderstanding, I am outlining below the position as we understand it at Derby. 1. Motor. ------- O.K. instructed fully experimentally, and being tested out. 2. Reduction Gear. ---------------- In R1/M.24.11.25. R.{Sir Henry Royce} proposes that there should be a new ratio of gear. No scheme was received, but if West WitteringHenry Royce's home town would like us to, we could get out the gears to meet R's requirements. 3. Actuator. ---------- This requires modifying owing to the main circuit switch being made a separate unit. No scheme received from West WitteringHenry Royce's home town. Would like to have some information in regard to same. 4. Starter Switch. ---------------- New two-way arrangement proposed in R1/M.25.11.25. No scheme has been received, we think it is up to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town to provide one. 5. Automatic Switch. ------------------ A slight alteration is involved, depending on the starter switch modifications. Here again no scheme has been received. We are awaiting West WitteringHenry Royce's home town. 6. Main Circuit Switch. --------------------- We issued this 23.12.25. to LeC.2179. Contd. | ||
