c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 8006. 1st. February 1939. BY.15/N. Messrs. Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Re: Finish of 3.B.50. We thank you for your letter, ref: CWW/JMW. of the 30th.ult. re the above, and return herewith the patterns. We do not like the proposed alternative leather as it looks distinctly yellow at some angles of light incidence. Such a condition is bound to occur somewhere in the body with the leather lying at many different angles. Would it be possible for you to find us a darker green, which is more cold in shade like the original tone. If by not accepting the proposed leather any delay in delivery of the body will result, we will agree to the leather you propose and take the risk. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
