E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Dept. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. C.O. c. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X5010. BY.1/G.9.11.32. RECEIVED 9 NOV 1932 J.1. ENGINE - CRANKSHAFT. -------------------------- The increase in diameter of the 20/25 type of crankshaft from 2⅛ to 2¼ has been made with the object of bringing the 20/25 into line with J.1 and Bensport. All crankshafts for new materials must be made from V.C.M. steel, and I am earmarking this particular size of shaft to be made in V.C.M., whether for Bensport or for a further order of 20/25.
