For the attention of E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Fowler Clark Esq.

Dear Sirs,

RE YOUR ORDER No. 97807. (OUR W.O.H. 17879)

Your letter of the 14th instant marked for the attention of our Mr. Baggs has been handed by that gentleman to the writer for attention.

We very much appreciate your comments on the five instruments submitted as samples to your above-mentioned order and we have pleasure in confirming that if these instruments are returned to us at any time they will be modified in accordance with the following and any new instruments we may have the pleasure of supplying will also embody the following features:-

1. A bright black finish will be supplied.

2. The peer-shaped end of the pointer will be made lower in relation to the scale and will also be made more slender and pointed at the indication end.

3. The 5 and 15 division marks will be distinguished by having a slightly longer stroke.

We are pleased to learn that you are perfectly satisfied with the performance of these instruments on preliminary bench test and await, with interest, your further comments on their behaviour.

Yours faithfully,

FERRANTI LIMITED.
