We acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 13th instant in regard to the X166 Lamps but we are afraid it is quite impossible to let you have a sample pair for test as early as you wish. As we explained to you we are in the hands of the Glass Manufacturers and until we receive our first samples from them it will not be possible to even let you have handmade lamps for test. We are advised that we may expect the front glasses during the middle of next week and we will endeavour to have some of the internal lenses cut specially in order to give you a pair of lamps before the holidays. It will be understood that these Lamps will not be production samples but purely to enable you to form an idea of the light distribution. With regard to the combined Stop and Tail lamp, we are pushing this matter on as rapidly as possible but when we received sample glasses from the moulds, difficulty was experienced in making a water-tight job of the front and certain modifications were found to be required. We will not loose sight Cont'd.... | ||
