X.D.32 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.3/KW. 18th May, 1935. Messrs. Solex Ltd., 223-231, Marylebone Road, London, N.W.1. Your Ref: HCM/CM. Dear Sirs, We thank you for yours of the 17th inst., and for your agreement that we should retain the downdraught carburettors a little longer. Regarding the governor carburetter, unfortunately we have at the moment no engine on which we could demonstrate this. We had to rig up a special induction system to test the carburetter, and which has since been destroyed, so that we regret to say a visit from your engineer could serve no purpose. We can assure you, however, that we tested the carburetter very carefully, but could not find a satisfactory adjustment. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
