Bodies for Experimental Cars.

This is to confirm that the Continental Phantom III is going ahead, and we anticipate that we shall be ahead of the body unless it is put in hand immediately. We understand that Barkers are going to be given the order for the body. We understand that Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} will arrange for Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} and Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} to discuss this body with Barkers with as little delay as possible.

It was further agreed that it is necessary for us to have one drop-head body in connection with our existing experiments on frame strength and independent suspension, in order to get a correct impression of the behaviour of the car with a body having the minimum rigidity. The only body which we have is that on 3-B-IV, which is old and out of date and would require a considerable sum spending on it to bring it up to a useful condition. In view of the fact that this was considered uneconomical, it was agreed that we should replace it by an up to date drop-head Coupe as being fitted to new Bentley cars.

We should like to know when this body will be available.
