Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} (Chateuaroux). 600a also 200a Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/R.27.1.38. Thank you for your report on the Bentley. We note that the Aluminium Drum has again given trouble. We should like to have all the available information as to how the liner became loose, so that we can avoid similar trouble on B.III. It is a curious fact that we are running 6 sets in customers hands and this trouble has not occurred, presumably it may be due to the increased braking on 6.B.IV. We sent the Wraith down to London for them to try yesterday, Wednesday, the 26th, and we anticipate that it will cross to France by the mid-day boat on Monday, the 31st. We should be glad if you could make arrangements to meet it off the boat, unless you hear to the contrary. Bowen will take it down to the Coast, and no one will travel over with it. If you like to go over to the English side to bring it across, there is no reason why you should not do so. I will let you know about the proposed trip from Dieppe later in the week. I shall be glad if you will display the attached notice in the Garage. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
