Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

For the attention of Mr. J.C. Bowering.

Dear Sirs,

Enclosed please find two blue prints of our hand-operated hydraulic pump to be used in connection with D.W.S. jacks and pipe-line.

One of the blue prints shows details of the pump and the other shows attachment of this pump in position, using the brackets already provided for the Jackall pump.

You will observe that this has worked out in a very simple and straightforward form and should give absolutely no trouble. The size and weight of the instrument have been considerably cut down also.

We should like to raise the pump further up towards the floor boards, but cannot do this with the existing brackets but probably when another set is fitted this matter can be gone into.
Handwritten in margin: We can alter the brackets to suit.

With regard to the folding flap which will be necessary in the floor boards, this may now require slightly modifying to suit the control knobs, but this will prove to be quite a simple job and we will leave this matter to your discretion.

The castings, which will be in R.R.50, will be made over the weekend and these will be in our shops first thing Monday morning and practically all other parts will be commenced tomorrow. It would, therefore, seem very probable that a pump will be ready at the end of next week which will be within the time suggested by Mr.Elliott.
