-2- HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /FD. {Frank Dodd - Bodies} 1/KT.11.10.32. print shews the type tested. We understand that Messrs Andre have also experienced considerable trouble with this type of unit and have now changed the type completely. The new design is shewn in Fig.1 on the print and has copper bellows and ball thrust. We hope to obtain a pair of the latest type control units and a report on these will follow in due course. 22-EX is fitted with a very top heavy seven seater limousine body, resulting in considerable rolling on corners, so much so, that it was impossible to complete some high speed performance tests at Brooklands recently owing to the tyres rubbing the wheel arches. With telecontrol dampers fitted in conjunction with R.R. it was possible to lap at 90 m.p.h. in safety and not even mark the wheel arch. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /F.Dodd. | ||
