19-C4.

My note PN.{Mr Northey}17/WT16.9.31 was written just at the time the mileage had reached about 10,000, and I considered that Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} would wish to carry out the usual examination at this point, before the further 5,000 were completed, ending in the final dismantling and examination. But no reply was obtained until 23/9/31 when the whole 15,000 was nearly completed.

On Sept. 24th when at Derby, Hancock fully understood I wished to do my mileage before final examination, but now it appears from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/MJ/30.9.31 this examination is being made.

The above procedure which I tried to carry out was actually followed in the case of 25-EX, which was dismantled etc, after 10,000, and then my mileage in France took place, finishing up with the final mileage and examination by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Hancock.
