Further to my previous note -

(1) Oy. uses 3" clearance to rubber buffer and then low rating buffer allowing 1" movement before coming solid.
(2) He still wants 4" re-bound.
(3) Out of centre point 2-3/16" not 2 1/4 as I originally stated.
(4) Damper loads 50 lbs. in the min. position.
(5) All adjustment is made on the valve, none on the inertia weight.
(6) For trying various ratios of K^2/ab G.M. have been running a car fitted out as below :-

[Blueprint diagram of a car with labels 'Wts.' at the front and rear, and 'C of G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp}' in the center.]

The car is sprung for say 10 weights in addition to the body at the C. of G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} By transferring these weights in pairs, one to front and one to the back, K^2/ab can be made equal to one without altering the initial spring deflection.
(7) Cadillac steering 20-1 middle 18-1 locks.
