- USA Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ra.18/KW. 31st May, 1934: Major G.E.A. Hallett, Research Laboratory General Motors Corporation, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. Dear Major Hallett, Thank you so much for the report on the measurement of valve gear movement, which will be most useful to us. We are at the present moment going rather better with the Cadillac tappet, but have found out quite a few interesting things about our valve gear in the process of making this tappet work. One thing which is contrary to your experience is that we have made the ball valve work, apparently quite satisfactorily. Yours sincerely, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
