We wish to try several cars that are reputed to have silent gearboxes. We wonder whether you could arrange, preferably through friends of ours, runs on these cars, so that we could come up from Derby and try them on one day. We are interested in Nash, Packard, Auburn, M.G.Mark II, 1932 Buick if it has arrived in England yet, and also Panhard and Hupmobile if available, in each case of course the model with a constant mesh 3rd. or 2nd. We should be grateful therefore, if you could arrange for us to try as many of these as possible.
Monday or Tuesday would suit us best.
