CHELSEA.

April 2nd. 1921.

The Chief Buyer,
Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
Nightingale Road. DERBY.

Dear Sir,
I have been wondering if you have yet been able to test the sample set of Gaiters, which we sent you some while ago.
You will perhaps remember, we told you that we were having special laces made: these are now in stock, so if the Gaiters have not been fitted, I will send you on a set of these laces at once. They are made specially long, and are stronger, as laces, than leather, in fact it is impossible to break them, and they are fitted with an extra long tag, to facilitate lacing.
We are also making the cover of the oil hole of a much heavier gauge brass, which will not bend with continual heavy use.
If you can make any suggestion for improvement or alteration, either in design or manufacture, we will be glad to carry out your wishes, and I will personally call and discuss the matter with you, any day you can arrange to see me.
Meanwhile, I would welcome a line from you, when time permits, giving your opinion of the Gaiters.

Believe me,
Yours faithfully,

HAMMOND CHELSEA LIMITED.
(Sgd) Chas. S. Wilson.
Managing Director.
