-4- based on these results was first on test. We have since gone off the twin carburetter and suggested a single. We have now gone off the single and require two separate carburetters. We believe however now, that the twin carburetters as fitted to 27-EX. is the best possible scheme for a sports car, but we should not recommend it for a town carriage. If it is intended to sell the improved Phantom ll Continental car in the early part of next year, the only safe policy is to go ahead to complete the designs for apply-ing S.U. carburetters. If we wait until we get the results for the R.R. carburetter the thing will drag on and the year will be gone before any results are obtained. If the policy decided is to go on with all the alternative models of R.R. carburetters and the S.U. then it means that this work will crowd out a number of other necessary improvements. We think it is for Sales to say when they consider they want to be selling the improved Continental car. If they do not mind how long they wait, then it will give us time to get some results on the R.R. carburetter. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
