X.3066 - STANDARDISATION SHEETS

We have seen copy of your note BJ1/D30817 addressed to Mr. Bailey, and we are urging the Cost Dept. to supply us with the costs of these alterations as soon as possible.

It will probably be best in future cases to obtain these costs before we submit the sheets to you, and we think, when there are only a few, this should be practicable.

Just recently there has seemed to be a whole lot of these alterations to be standardised at the same time. We are sending you standardisation sheets for three cases of which we have obtained the costs and also Mr. Royce's remarks, so that these sheets are complete with the exception of the Air Board consent.

These alterations, will of course, involve all future engine unless something is standardised at a later date which affects these.

The three sheets now sent to you are -

X.2854 - Radial vaned water pump rotor to replace curved vaned ditto. (Airship engine type)

X.3125A- Radial Vaned water pump rotor to replace curved vaned ditto. (Aero Engine type).

X.3136 - Standard pistons in R.A.F. B4. Alloy.
