RE : FAIREY'S CAR 34-GN.

We tested this car before handing it over to the Repair Dept. The following features were noted :-

(1) Engine power and acceleration very good. Climb on Ticknall Hill was done in 54 secs. with a maximum speed of 65 M.P.H. at top of hill.

(2) Brakes were very poor - pedal down on boards.

(3) Servo jaggers and very inefficient.

(4) Front brakes thump.

(5) Bad rattles from rear shock dampers.

(6) Bijur pedal came up straight away - suspect broken pipe in system.

(7) Switch arm very loose.

(8) Bonnet would not remain fastened. O.S. front and N.S.R. fasteners require attention.

(9) Head lamps vibrate - standards loose on frame.

(10) There was no sign of steering being unstable as reported by Fairey.
