J.W. Howlett, Esq.,
Wellworthy Piston Rings Limited,
Lymington,
HANTS:

Dear Howlett,

Mr. Matthews paid a visit to Dennis Motors yesterday, and I attach a copy of his report.

You will note that the Dennis Co. are actually running lead bronze bearings as they cannot get supplies of A.C.9. We appreciate that the change from A.C.6 to A.C.9 may have made the supply of these bearings a difficult problem. On the other hand, for small experimental quantities we are perfectly willing to do all we can to assist you. We do feel that, wherever possible, we should avoid allowing competitive bearings to go into experimental engines.

Yours sincerely,
