With reference to R3/M9.3.28. We do not think that it would be possible to run on the 8-cyl. period for any length of time without doing damage to the engine, if at the speed in question there was any appreciable gas torque left.
On the Stutz there is not.

From our experience, one load can be found on the present type torsional crankshaft damper which will deal with all the harmonics of a 6-cyl. engine but not the master period of course.
