Dear Sir,

Upon my return to Paris from a short vacation, I have been receiving from one and the other of the Rolls-Royce Engineers, letters which are not exactly gratifying for Imperial Airways Ltd, and as I was myself recently put to considerable inconvenience in London - as you already know - I consider it high time something was done to avoid as far as possible the likelihood of such trouble recurring in the future.

I enclose for your guidance, copies of two letters, one from Mr Waller who is one of our Engineers attached to the Experimental Department, and the other from Mr W.A.Robotham, who is a very important official of the Company, being Chief Development Engineer.

I am of the opinion that it is unnecessary for me to deal more extensively with this matter, as after perusal of the two letters referred to, by you, I feel sure you will agree that things are not as they should be, between our two Companies.

Under the circumstances, I trust that, bearing in mind the extensive freight business which we do with you, quite apart from the passenger traffic, you will see your way clear in the future to avoid turning down important members of our firm such as Mr Robotham.

Yours faithfully,

FRANCO-BRITANNIC AUTOS LTD,

Encl:
2 Copies of letters
1 Mandat.
