Messrs John Marston Ltd.,
WOLVERHAMPTON.

For the attention of Mr.Dunn.

Dear Sirs,

Confirming our telephone conversation of yesterday afternoon, we agree that you should modify the incorrect Phantom III. radiator matrices which are in existence to the correct drawing which you now have, provided the sample one which you are sending in for inspection on Friday is satisfactory. This to commence with the matrices which are already completed at your Works and apply to the matrices which we shall return to you - you will receive official instructions from our Production Drawing Office and Account Dept. shortly.

We are also sending you instructions and orders for two Bentley standard matrices with bottom tanks attached by yourselves and for the attachment of a bottom tank to the special Phantom III. matrix (.005" and .003" strip), which we are returning to you for correction (Marked for the attention of Mr. Dunn)

As discussed with you we are forwarding with this letter arrangement drawings of our Bentley radiator and shutters. We should like your suggestions as to any economical improvements which can be made in the design and your quotation for supplying the radiator complete (a) with shutters as present standard, (b) with the dummy shutter arrangement which the writer brought back with him.

The stipulations would be that the external appearance must be unaltered and that with a 52.MM. Mk.VI. matrix, the frontal area of the matrix should not be less than 400 square inches, while the weight must not be materially increased. We would probably be able to come to some arrangement with you about taking over any press tools which we already have for the shell and top tank etc., so that tool costs for these articles should not be included in the quotation.
