Watford EW6 magneto No 100081.

This magneto has recently completed over 10000 miles running on 15EX and has been returned to the lab for examination being reported very noisy.
We have dismantled the magneto and found it to be mechanically OK.
The contact breaker platinum points however had worn right down and need replacing the gap being .045" when examined. This was forseen in WC99 where we stated that a chassis test would probably show up any faults more readily. Upon adjusting the points to normal .012" gap the electrical magneto passed our production test satisfactorily although very noisy.
