With regard to the standardisation of the clutch to N.Sch.3948 with fabric on the driven member, the following features should be incorporated. These parts have run 10,000 miles in France and 10,000 miles since in England on 4-B-IV and cancel therefore the parts instructed like those on 21-G-IV. (1) .005" movement of back plate. (2) Driven plate Ex.14659 with .015 set. (3) Linings in VM.20 material. (4) Bifurcated rivetting not to be used. (5) Owing to the increased thickness of the driven member, material has to be removed from the back plate and pressure plate accordingly. (6) Square driving pegs for the back plate as on the N.Sch. in place of the circular ones used on 21-G-IV. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
