The sparking in the advanced position of these magnetos is considered to be bad, misfiring occurring at practically all speeds on 5.5 mm gaps in air. With the lever 5° retarded sparks become regular up to 3500 to 4000 rpm, giving the impression that the timing range is too far advanced. The low speed sparking Signed: contd.
