The progress of a rear axle job for a Phantom III at the Paris Depot.

Replying to your memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/2/R.31.7.37, the new parts for the axle were handed over to the Paris Depot on Thursday evening July 22nd. The subsequent progress was as follows:- Friday 23rd. Pressure of Customers' jobs made it impossible for axle to receive attention. Saturday 24th) Depot shut down for week-end. Sunday 25th) [A handwritten brace joins the following three lines] Monday 26th ) Tuesday 27th ) Axle being built up Wednesday 28th) and gears fitted [Handwritten checkmark] Thursday 29th Chateauroux testers drove to Depot in morning. Axle completed and handed over at II a.m. Testers fitted axle to car and returned to Chateauroux by 7 p.m. We understand that during the three days actually devoted to the job, it was frequently necessary for the fitter to be called off for customers' jobs. ----------- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M.
