6139 To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. c. By/RD. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.11/AP.18.6.37 With reference to the proposed Lucas fuse board with reduced number of fuses, Messrs Lucas state that they can easily arrange for six fuses to be incorporated in this board. This will ease the situation considerably, and having gone into the matter, we attach herewith a sketch showing our suggested arrangement of the wires and connections to the switchbox if we had six fuses. It will be noted that we have included all circuits going through the ammeter which are subjected as far as possible to continuous discharge. Intermittent circuits but fairly heavy current consumption have been placed on the 6th fuse by-pass from the ammeter. A modification will be necessary to the switchbox with this new arrangement and this could be introduced at the same time that we start experimenting with the new combined fuse board and regulator unit. We are sending a copy of this sketch to Messrs Lucas for their information. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. | ||
