X.4298 CHASSIS - STARTING UP ENGINES UNDER COLD CONDITIONS. ------------------------------------ Mr.Hulley reports from America that they have rigged up a successful device on 4-EX. "We have arranged a set of levers that work off the priming tap rod. One goes to a tap on the top of the air valve, and the other operates a "butterfly" valve in the hot air pipe to the low speed jet. When one wishes to start the motor we turn the primer to the "starting" and the engine will gradually kick off without priming by using the self-starter or the third crank over, using the starting handle."
