With reference to the over-size Continental Tyres, I am very much against using the 935 diameter of wheel now that we have a reasonable road clearance without it. I wish therefore if possible that this size of wheel should be cancelled. I am also of the opinion that 895 x 150 (the oversize) tyres would be a valuable improvement to our car. Are the Continental people the only people making this size of tyre. Since it seems certain that the roads are considerably worse, especially in France, than in earlier motoring days, it is highly advisable that the pneumatic tyres shall be made as large as they possibly can, to save the chassis from shocks. This I believe can best be obtained by increasing the diameter of the tyres, providing they are not pumped to too high a pressure. F.H.R. | ||
