Our Hooper Trials car with a similar type body weighed when new 34 cwt. 1 qr. 12 lbs. the body being calculated at 9 cwt. 2 qrs. 10 lbs. We have another car in stock at the present time, the body of which weighs 9 cwt 2 qrs. 25 lbs. whilst the Maythorne body that we have just recently sent to the Riviera weighs only 9cwts 25 lbs All these bodies are of the 6-seater full-size Pullman limousine type. 14-G-IV. We note that this weighs 8 cwts, 3 qrs 5 lbs. and we are surprised that it weighed as much as it was quite unsaleable. there was insufficient room even in the front seat for two ordinary sized people to sit without discomfort. I have quoted these various body weights to show that Coachbuilders are trying to get weight down and their bodies are really not so heavy inasmuch as the issue is so often confused by this inclusion of accessories and naturally we cannot prevent customers fitting these - we can only do our best to persuade them.
