B.179.AE - After a mileage of 3722 Kms. N°6 Aerolite piston seized.
As per our Sr/VA3/ET.24.3.36, we sent a full report to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} and Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} upon the matter.
This is the first time that we have had to attend to a piston seizure on a Bentley engine.

B.179.AE - 52,522 Kms. - Fitted 4 new Intermediate bearings.
As there seems to be a doubt as to the main or especially the intermediate (white metal) bearings being in a reliable condition on cars which are in the habit of being driven at high speeds for long distances and that have already covered a certain mileage, we shall be glad to have a ruling upon the matter as soon as possible.
