20HP CHASSIS. MATERIAL.

Further to BY/C1/H26.3.24. the various outstanding experiments have been discussed with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, and it has been decided that the following should be instructed for production chassis, commencing chassis 1001.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} SECTION.

Starter Carburetter Valve with Taper Seating. Piece numbers E53039/40/41.

Modification to obtain a quieter Air Intake. Mr Shelton will ascertain from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, whether scheme 518 or E53197 is what he requires.

Support Clip for the Exhaust Downtake Pipe to scheme 531. Mr Shelton will ascertain from Exp.Dept. the exact position in which this clip is to be fitted.

Sheet Steel Cover for Exhaust Pipe similar to EAC. These Covers should be sheradised.

Radiator with Shutters built in Radiator Frame. This Radiator is the one which is 1" higher and ¼" narrower & shorter matrix tubes. The Pocket intended for Thermostat should be retained and a suitable Cover should be provided for this as the Thermostat itself is not to be used. Bonnet to suit this type of Radiator should be instructed.

F.{Mr Friese} SECTION.

Extra Cross Member for Battery Box. New Battery Box to suit the above, also new body brackets.

Petrol Tank with Reserve Compartment, also larger Petrol Gauge with white Dials.

The Filters should be fitted with 160 mesh metal gauze instead of Monel metal.

Will Mr Booth look into the question as to whether the Filters are arranged so that they can be withdrawn even with the coachwork in position.
